VANTIS™ Intelligence · Y-Series Environmental Sensors

Y-Series — the house, in data.

Bio-enabled sensing that doesn't drift, doesn't need a cartridge.

Y-Series is the environmental-sensing product family of VANTIS™ — KYNAD's precision-poultry intelligence platform. It monitors ammonia, CO₂, methane, temperature, humidity, and wind speed — on the world's first bio-enabled phage-nanofiber sensors. Non-consumable, auto-calibrating, 5+-year life, and integrated with AI-EYE™ flock analytics so the environment shows up in the harvest forecast, not after the fact.

The Environment is the other half.

AI-EYE™ tells you what the birds weigh. Y-Series tells you the conditions they're growing in. Together they close the loop: environmental signals feed the same analytics layer as flock weight, so deviations in climate show up in the harvest forecast — and ventilation can be adjusted before performance is lost.

Multi-gas + climate sensing

Three probes per sensor cover temperature/humidity, ammonia and CO₂, plus wind speed and water consumption — the full set of conditions that drive intake, comfort and growth.

Bio-enabled phage sensor

The world's first bio-enabled sensor: phage nanofibers on a reversible colorimetric chip give exceptional sensitivity and reusability — with remote and automatic calibration built in.

No maintenance, non-consumable

5+-year sensor life with zero replacement and no maintenance cost for 3–5 years — no $800 electrochemical cartridges, no annual drift, no shelf-life write-offs.

Long-range, easy deploy

Wired and wireless output to both controllers and mobile devices, with reliable long-range communication — a single gateway covers a 12-house farm. Easy install, no recalibration.

Part of VANTIS™. Y-Series is one of three VANTIS™ product families: the AI-EYE™ Camera System — a purpose-built computer-vision camera engineered from scratch by CALYX, not an off-the-shelf camera bolted onto third-party software — plus Y-Series Environmental Sensors (environmental sensing) and Harvest Intelligence Software (the CALYX analytics layer that turns both into a harvest plan).

Built to outlast legacy sensors.

Conventional house sensors drift, consume cartridges and need replacing on a 1–3 year cycle. Y-Series proprietary bio-based technology outperforms state-of-the-art electrochemical and NDIR/laser sensors on every axis that matters in a poultry house.

No drift over a season. In a poultry breeder-house field comparison, a renowned-brand ammonia sensor began reading progressively lower after a year, while the Y-Series sensor showed no sign of drift or decay — holding accuracy where electrochemical sensors fade.

Why Ammonia is a margin problem.

Ammonia quietly erodes growth and welfare long before it's visible. Continuous, accurate NH₃ data lets ventilation be adjusted on temperature, humidity, NH₃, and CO₂ together — keeping birds in an optimal environment and protecting harvest weight.

The evidence on NH₃. Across published broiler studies, constant ammonia exposure cut body weight ~2% at 25 ppm, ~17% at 50 ppm and ~21% at 75 ppm by day 28 — with feed intake and FCR degrading as levels rise. Early detection and ventilation optimization keep NH₃ and CO₂ below the harmful thresholds where this damage starts.
