HATCHIX® — stronger starts in the first 72 hours.
Nature's Boost for Stronger Starts™
A ready-to-use hydration and nutrition bar for newly hatched chicks, poults, and ducklings. Non-wetting, palatable, and labor-free — drop it in the crate and let the birds self-serve. Designed for the critical hatch-to-brooder window where dehydration and delayed feed access drive early mortality.
Why the first 72 hours — the window that compounds.
Between hatch and placement, chicks lose 5–10% of body weight from dehydration and energy depletion. Conventional water-and-feed delivery requires a brooder, equipment, and labor that the transport leg simply doesn't have. HATCHIX closes that gap with a single solid-form, water-rich bar that birds consume voluntarily — no wetting, no aspiration risk, no equipment.
Rapid-access hydration
94% water content delivered through a solid, palatable bar — chicks self-hydrate during transport without nipples, cups, or wetting equipment. No mess, no aspiration risk.
Energy & vitamin support
Digestible sugars, canola oil, starch, and a complete A · D₃ · E · K · B-complex profile with betaine HCl and inositol — replacing what residual yolk runs out within the first 36–48 hours.
Open & place — zero prep
No mixing, no measuring, no wetting, no specialized equipment. 2–4 bars dropped along crate edges feed 100 chicks for the full transport-and-placement window. Labor stays at the hatchery, not in the field.
Trial outcomes — stronger starts through the placement window.
A supplier field study measured body-weight loss at 28 hours post-hatch — the window that captures transport, holding, and initial brooder placement. Chicks given a competitor gel during transport plus HATCHIX on arrival lost less body weight than chicks given the competitor gel alone, in both male and female lines.

HATCHIX + competitor gel vs. competitor gel alone
Source: Supplier field study data provided to KYNAD, not KYNAD testing — 13,500 chicks across two paired house trials at a major producer, measuring body-weight loss over a 28-hour transport-and-placement window against a competitor gel alone. Values with differing superscripts are significantly different (p<0.05). Actual outcomes vary by transport duration, season, flock condition, and baseline hatchery performance.
What's inside — food-grade only, polymer-free.
HATCHIX is built entirely from food-grade ingredients — no synthetic polymers, no questionable carriers, no hazardous classifications. The bar carries a complete vitamin profile alongside functional co-nutrients (betaine, inositol, PABA) and electrolytes to support hydration and metabolic recovery.

Vs. competitors — what no other hatchery supplement does.
Most hatchery hydration products require wetting, mixing, or specialized application equipment. Others omit the complete vitamin profile or rely on synthetic polymer carriers. HATCHIX combines a non-wetting bar format, a complete vitamin spectrum and polymer-free chemistry in a single ready-to-use product.

Comparison is drawn from supplier documentation shared with KYNAD, not from KYNAD testing, and reflects three leading hatchery-care competitor products at the time of publication. Ratings are graded — full, partial or limited — rather than absolute. Specific brand names withheld; full comparison detail available in the HATCHIX technical packet on request.
Scale & dosing math — from one chick to one truck.
HATCHIX is dosed as a count, not a weight — so hatchery teams can plan placement and packaging the same way they plan crate counts. One pouch covers a standard pickup. One case covers a typical day at a regional hatchery.
Standard dosing ladder
Crate placement — open and place
Drop 2–4 bars per 100-bird crate along the outer walls, where birds naturally congregate during transport. No mixing, no measuring, no wetting equipment.
- Adjust upward (toward 4 bars) for long-haul transit or stressed flocks.
- Bring bars to room temperature before placement — avoid feeding cold or physically altered bars.
- Pouch sealed when not in active use; consume opened pouch within 3 days.
Where to use it — by species and scenario.
HATCHIX is validated across all three commercial avian neonate categories. The dosing principle is the same across species — count of birds per crate, with the upper end of the 2–4 bar range reserved for high-stress scenarios.
Chicks
Primary use case- Broilers, layers, breeders — day-old transport & placement.
- Reduces dehydration-driven mortality during long-haul shipping.
- Bridges the energy gap before brooder feed access.
- Supports calcium/phosphorus metabolism via vitamin D₃.
Poults
Cross-species validated- Turkey poults — high mortality sensitivity during first 72 h.
- Same 2–4 bars/100-bird placement schedule.
- Particularly beneficial in long-haul placement scenarios.
- Supports voluntary intake without aspiration risk.
Ducklings
Cross-species validated- Compatible with waterfowl hatch-to-brooder protocols.
- Non-wetting format prevents the aspiration risks of liquid delivery.
- Same dosing — 2–4 bars per 100-bird crate.
- Supports recovery in delayed-placement scenarios.

Quality assurance.
Storage & handling.
HATCHIX is stable on a hatchery shelf — no refrigeration, no specialized handling. The two things to manage are temperature on the day of use and time between opening and placement.
Storage
-
Cool, dry, dark Store sealed pouches at 65–70 °F (18–21 °C) in a dry, dark place — away from direct sunlight and high-humidity storage areas.
-
3 days after opening Use opened pouches within 3 days. Re-seal between placements to preserve bar texture and moisture.
-
24 months sealed Full 24-month shelf life in unopened pouches under recommended storage conditions.
Handling
-
Bring to room temperature Allow bars to reach ambient room temperature before placement. Do not feed cold or physically altered bars.
-
Non-hazardous Per SDS classification: non-hazardous, polymer-free, food-grade ingredients. Standard feed-additive PPE applies.
-
No equipment required No mixing, watering, or specialized machinery. Bars are placed directly in crates by hand at the hatchery.
